i just reblogged that post that said “stop depicting roxy as sobbing helplessly after she meets up with dirk after teleporting away with roxy shes not a sobbing damsel she’s a kickass lady” and sure thats great and all but did u know that crying does not equal weakness and maybe she might be one of those people that it takes a bit to process shock?

like its not a bad thing to depict roxy as crying after she teleports out that is a LOT of shit to deal with

people are taking this “strong female character” thing too far. roxy lalonde is and always has been a relatable, realistic character. roxy just saw two of her best friends die and a bunch of other shit go down in a very short period of time. roxy was able to remain calm long enough to snatch rose and get them out of there. do you know what a real person would do after they were safe? they would fucking cry. i get wanting a strong female character, but let her be complex as well as strong. there is no shame in crying and it doesn’t mean that you’re weak.
